The star, who's been platinum blonde for the past few months, subtly changed her hair color over the weekend for a shade that's less high maintenance. But, it wasn't the constant root touch ups that made her decide to go darker. It was her spray tan that inspired her hair change. Kardashian shared her new hair color and explained the change on her Instagram Story. "I loved it. But it's a lot of upkeep to do that white, and I felt like if I didn't have a spray tan, then I didn't look fabulous,” she said. "We're going a little darker, just adding more dimension in it," she said of her fresh dye job. Her new blonde hair comes courtesy of Redken celebrity colorist Tracey Cunningham, who shared details of Kardashian's color process on her own Instagram. She pointed out that "now you can see her natural color woven in on top," and shared the specific color levels of the highlights and lowlights she gave the star.
