Khloé Kardashian and Kim Kardashian West Are Standing with the Dreamers

The Trump administration's decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, better known as DACA, today has led to outrage across the country. Protestors have taken to the streets outside of Trump Tower and beyond. Former President Barack Obama released an official statement denouncing the decision, and celebrities have voiced their dissent all across social media and the list of those who oppose the decision continues to grow.

Tonight, Khloé Kardashian and her sister Kim Kardashian West added their influential voices to the many who feel anger and disbelief at this callous decision to end the Obama-era legislation that helped protect nearly 800,000 young immigrants who entered the U.S. illegally as minors. As of right now, DACA will be phased out by March 5, 2018, leaving the fates of many, who are currently working and living in the U.S. on two-year work permits, precarious.

Khloé took to Instagram to share a quote from President Obama's statement. "'Ultimately, this is about basic decency.' I stand with the Dreamers," she wrote alongside the post.

Her sister Kim echoed her sentiment. On Twitter, she retweeted posts from Senator Kamala Harris, Barack Obama, Planned Parenthoond, and more. She also wrote a post of her own. "I stand with the dreamers," she tweeted.

The Kardashian sisters aren't the only high-profile names who are speaking out against the decision. See more here.
