Mickey Mouse Club Alum Keri Russell Gets Real About Justin Timberlake's Oscar Performance
Justin Timberlake and Ryan Gosling first set the internet ablaze with their impromptu Academy Awards reunion on Sunday, and now fellow Mickey Mouse Club alum Keri Russell is dishing on what her fellow co-stars thought about the "Can't Stop the Feeling" hitmaker's hip-shaking Oscar performance.
The Americans actress, who dated Mickey Mouse Club co-star Tony Lucca back in the day, stopped over at the Tonight Show on Monday where she celebrated the fifth season of her show by doing some push up in heels, counting in a foreign language, and talking about JT, who shot to fame as an NSYNC heartthrob after the pivotal childhood show.
The segment started off when host Jimmy Fallon challenged the star to a game of Fallon Five, where she got things underway by impressively counting to five in Welsh. Things got a little more difficult, however, when the late night emcee tested the mom-of-two's fitness skills by asking her to pound out four push-ups like a champ—in high heels and sequined pants.
Russell then opened up about her three most recent texts, including one to a former Mickey Mouse Club co-star during Timberlake's dance moves-filled opening act.
"She was like, 'Are you watching this? He's good!'" the chuckling actress mimicked, feigning surprise.
The 40-year-old, who said she was 17 when the future boy bander was 12, admitted that she still sees the Grammy Award winner "as a little kid" and was floored by his great performance at the prestigious awards ceremony.
All jokes aside, the five-time Emmy Award winner had nothing but words of praise for her former peer, exclaiming, "But how fun was that number?! It was so great!"
