Kendall Jenner's Definition of "Modern Love" Sounds a *Lot* Like an Allusion to Her Relationship with Ben Simmons
What’s love got to do with it? Well, from Tiffany’s standpoint, quite a bit.
Model Kendall Jenner took an evening off from making eyes at LeBron James and doing some dishes in the nude to celebrate the opening of her photographer pal Renell Medrano’s “Modern Love” exhibition in partnership with Tiffany & Co.
So what’s “modern love” to Jenner? The 23-year-old fashion week fixture, who confirmed her relationship with Philadelphia 76ers player Ben Simmons during a visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, defined the phenomenon with words that could be used to describe her own love life. “I think that modern love is public but mysterious at the same time,” she told InStyle. So ... like, sitting courtside at every one of Simmons's games but dodging all dating q's in the press? Gotcha.
Jenner, who was outfitted in the brand’s Tiffany T True choker and several gold rings, describes the most meaningful piece of jewelry in her life as a “tiny silver Tiffany heart” she received when she was a baby. “It’s something that I love and will keep forever,” she told us.
Medrano, the creative mastermind behind the images on display, was inspired by the vulnerability of her subjects. “Modern love just comes in any form, any way, as long as the individuals are happy — doesn’t matter who you are, what you are, as long as it’s love,” she said of the collection, which showcases several young and diverse couples in their homes and natural surroundings.
Jenner wasn’t the only friend of Medrano and Tiffany & Co. to attend the fête. The Saturday evening event boasted a roster of models, influencers, actors, and musicians that included Emily Ratajkowski, A$AP Ferg, Rowan Blanchard, and Debby Ryan.
