Here's Who Sent Kendall Jenner That Gushy Love Letter

While everyone was hemming and hawing over Kendall Jenner's (barley there) outfit at Monday evening's Fashion Awards, she was in the midst of living out a rom-com storyline of The Notebook-level proportions.

The model shared a hand-written love letter she received on Instagram Stories, and it is extremely gushy.

"We may be miles apart but my love for you grows stronger & stronger by the minute," it reads. "My innermost feeling is love for you. I will love you until death separates us. Right now this separation is killing me, but in my heart I know that nothing could come close to separating us. We are united into one forever, body & soul and I want you to know that I love you from the deepest part of my heart."

It's signed off with "love," but conveniently, the writer's name is blacked out (noooo).

If the letter really is earnest, publishing it would be an unusual move for the Kar-Jenner sister, who tends to keep her romantic relationships private. Kendall has been marginally more public with rumored beau and Philadelphia 76ers player Ben Simmons lately, though.

Jenner and Simmons are not official — sources told People they aren't in a rush to make things exclusive — and there isn't any indication that he's the author of the letter. But the two have been spending more time together. The model was even seen bonding with his mom at a basketball game a few weeks back.

If he really did write that letter, that would certainly mean things are heating up. Until there's confirmation though, it's best to take it at face value.

Update, Dec. 12, 2018: Not taking that letter at face value turned out to be a good plan. A day after sending her fans into a frenzied search of just who sent her such fawning compliments, Jenner revealed that photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot are behind it.

"Nice try," she wrote over a pic a the letter, this time leaving the "M+M" signature. "My secret admirer's actually @mertalas & @macpiggott."

Mystery solved.
