Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Will Be Co-Stars Again 23 Years After Meeting on All My Children

Kelly Ripa has landed the role she was “born to play,” and, honestly, we have to agree.

More than 23 years after she and husband Mark Consuelos met on the set of ABC soap opera All My Children (see below), the couple is returning to the small screen together, on The CW’s Riverdale.

Consuelos has been a series regular since the beginning of the show’s second season, starring as Veronica Lodge’s manipulative father, Hiram. And another member of the Consuelos-Ripa family has already joined the patriarch on screen. The show’s flashback episode (which airs tonight) stars Kelly and Mark’s 21-year-old son, Michael, as a young Hiram.

And now, Ripa herself will guest star as Hiram’s mistress!

Kelly shared the news on Instagram on Tuesday night, writing, “It’s a family affair........Hiram’s mistress. 23 years of auditioning for a role i was born to play. Coming soon to the @thecwriverdale.”

Entertainment Weekly describes Ripa’s character, Mrs. Mulwray, as a “beautiful, icy femme fatale,” which honestly sounds like a pair of shoes we’ve been waiting a lifetime to see Kelly step into.

P.S. Kelly and Mark have two more kids, so we're taking bets on how long it will be before they make Riverdale cameos of their own.
