Case in point: Lola Consuelos, who managed to rack up Postmates bills so high that Ripa shut off her debit card. According to People, Ripa explained the situation this morning on Live With Kelly and Ryan, saying that although Consuelos has a meal plan, she — like just about all of us — opted for convenience instead and called on Postmates one too many times. "I didn't know our daughter had Postmates," Ripa told her co-host, Ryan Seacrest. "She's at college and we signed her up for a meal plan, cause we're not monsters. We signed her up for a meal program." The price of delivery combined with taxes can double or sometimes triple the price of the actual food. "But you know, she doesn't like the meals at school so she was ordering Postmates," Ripa continued. "Here's what would happen. She would order the $7 salad but it would cost $25 to have it delivered three blocks in New York City." Kelly Ripa "Cried Tears of Joy" Over Throwback Videos of Her Kids Seacrest asked her exactly how she dealt with the issue and Ripa's response was blunt and straightforward. She put a stop to it. "Oh, we shut down that debit card account she had," Ripa finished. Lola, Ripa's second-oldest child with husband Mark Conseulos, is attending New York University. Her older brother, Michael Joseph, also attended the school, though Ripa didn't share whether or not he took advantage of his parents' generosity when it came to eating out.
