Keira Knightley Debuts Darker Brunette Hair at the British Independent Film Awards
Welcome to the dark-er side, Keira Knightley! Last night at the Moët British Independent Film Awards in London, the star walked the red carpet in an embellished Simone Rocha number, which provided the perfect amount of contrast to her new chocolate brown strands. Though her new hue isn't quite as dramatic as the golden blonde tones she has sported in years past, the change falls in line with the trend of celebrities going darker for the colder months.
Knightley tends to take on a spontaneous attitude in terms of hair, and even chopped her long layers into a pixie cut for a role back in 2005."She's quite up for doing different things," her hairstylist Ben Skervin previously told InStyle. "I'll get a call: 'You weren't around yesterday, so I went and got my hair cut off!'" The star's polished chignon suggests that no major cuts were made this time around---or at least, not major enough to prevent an updo---but the cool tones of her deep brown shade certainly pair well with her alabaster complexion.
