Orlando Bloom Sounds Like the Perfect Quarantine Partner
Katy Perry says he's giving her exactly what she needs.
People are handling quarantine in their own ways. Whether it's dying their hair, trying out that whole sourdough thing, or releasing new material with fan-submitted content, everyone's doing them. For Katy Perry, however, quarantine means finding time for herself — and in a new interview with Cosmopolitan, Perry said that her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, is giving her plenty of time and space.
Perry's situation may be a little more unique, since she's quarantining while pregnant, but she tells the magazine that it hasn't been that hard, since Bloom's very understanding.
"He's being very sensitive, knowing that we're not only in quarantine but we're doing it while pregnant," she said. "He's also doing a lot of pro-style cycling for a couple hours a day, so that gives me my space."
So, while Perry's spending time solo, Bloom seems to be slipping into spandex and spending time with his bike. All in all, that doesn't seem like a terrible way to pass the time.
And Perry's taking that alone time to really indulge in self-care, she explains.
"I've gone very boho, pulling my hair back, popping on a turban, doing my own makeup, reusing lashes I’ve stored away from previous shoots pre-quarantine," she told Cosmo.
Glamour notes that back in March, Perry told her American Idol co-star Ryan Seacrest that she and Bloom have a one-of-a-kind relationship. The way that they're quarantining just supports that idea
“There’s a lot of friction between my partner and I, but that friction breeds something beautiful. It can breed a lot of light," she said during an appearance on On Air With Ryan Seacrest. "It's just one of those relationships. I don't know about anyone else that’s listening, whatever kind of relationship they've had — and I've had many — but it's like we basically, we get down to the mat and come back up every time."
