Katy Perry's New Song "Bon Appétit" Is Packed with Sugar and Spice
Katy Perry's new single is officially making us hungry.
The "Chained to the Rhythm" star has been busy whipping up a sweet treat for fans and teasing her efforts by sharing a recipe for cherry pie earlier this week.
And on Friday, the pop star delivered on her promise of plenty of sugar and spice as she dropped her new track, titled "Bon Appétit," at midnight and furnished us with enough food innuendos to last the year.
Teasing her collaboration with hip-hop group Migos, the "Roar" hitmaker took to Instagram to announce its release with the aptly written caption "Fresh out the oven," alongside a photo of her channeling Miley Cyrus while laying on a table artfully surrounded by vegetables and wearing a pink bodysuit embellished with food paraphernalia including mussels, fried eggs, and grapes.
A promo image of the album's artwork released on Wednesday featured Perry's head photoshopped onto a plate of fruit while blinged out hands reach towards her.
As the second track to be released off the singer's upcoming album, "Bon Appétit" features a decidedly different sound than "Chained to the Rhythm," with Perry urging listeners that they "could use some sugar" as she croons, "Fresh out the oven. Melt-in-your-mouth kind of lovin'."
