A few weeks after briefly returning to her signature black hair, Katy Perry is experimenting with another familiar color.

Perry got ready for the European leg of her Witness World Tour by dyeing her pixie cut bright indigo. Her new shade, which her colorist Rick Henry is calling "Blueberry Crush," was created using Joico's Color Butter in Purple ($20; ulta.com). The temporary color-depositing treatments only take five minutes, and last up to 10 shampoos. As an added bonus, they reduce breakage thanks to the peptides in the formula.

Henry mixed the purple Joico Color Butter with the brand's K-PAK Intense Hydrator ($21; ulta.com), a rich conditioner, to dilute the color and get the perfect blue shade.

These zero-commitment dyes are how Perry constantly wears pastel color after pastel color without completely frying her already bleached hair.

Blue is one of the many shades that Perry has worn before. (She had cobalt and baby blue hair back in 2012.) Considering her latest hair change comes after a brief stint with both black and cherry blossom last month, we're predicting that her summer is going to be filled with many unexpected hair looks.
