Katie Holmes Just Wore a Lady Gaga-Inspired Pantsuit — with a Liberace Twist
Katie Holmes appeared to be taking style cues from Lady Gaga (and, uh, Liberace?) on Wednesday evening when she and her lookalike mom, Kathleen, stepped out in N.Y.C. for the American Ballet Theatre’s fall gala.
Just days after Lady Gaga attended Elle’s Women In Hollywood event in her show-stopping (and symbolic) oversized Marc Jacobs pantsuit, Holmes adopted the trend for herself — though she took some creative liberties, opting for a more tailored Prada version with feathered cuffs (blazer: $2,620; mytheresa.com, pants: $1,630; farfetch.com). Yes, you read that correctly: feathered cuffs.
She polished off the eclectic two-piece with a pair of strappy black sandals, a matching clutch, a sleek triple bun, and layered gold necklaces.
We must say, we’re fascinated by the 39-year-old’s style. Unlike so many of her industry peers, Holmes is always trying new things and taking risks. There’s no established Katie Holmes aesthetic, because she literally changes her style with every outing. Whether she’s wearing an oversized sweater and thigh-high boots or a vampy red lip and satin gown, the actress goes all in on her sartorial statement of choice.
You do you, Katie.
