Last week Katie Holmes was all about the ‘80s; this week, she’s sourcing her fashion inspo straight from 1954.

The actress arrived at Alice + Olivia’s Spring 2019 NYFW show sponsored by Booking.com on Tuesday in a form-fitting knee-length white halter dress and crème-colored ankle strap pumps. She wore her short brown hair in loose waves just dusting her shoulders, and polished off the classic look with a bold swipe of cherry red lipstick. The final product? Brunette Marilyn Monroe takes 2018.

We really thought it would be difficult for Katie to top the royal purple Isabel Marant dress she wore to the A. Human launch party last week, but this modern take on the Hollywood icon surely deserves the no. 1 spot on her fashion week style roster.

It’s ironic that the woman who played Jackie Kennedy in The Kennedys miniseries does such an impressive job channeling the First Lady’s rumored rival, but we’re here for it. Just give Katie all the roles. She can play JFK and Ted, too.
