Outside of the beloved, Parisian-inspired SoHo eatery, where Film Festival co-founders Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff prepared to join the high-profile guests who were eager to celebrate this year’s Tribeca Film Festival Artists Program, Katie Holmes kicked off a parade of ultra fashionable looks the moment she stepped onto the red carpet. For the 37-year-old mother to little Suri Cruise, who just celebrated her 10th birthday, the evening called for not just a fun night out, but a cocktail appropriate Chanel getup that consisted of high-waisted black sheer and brocade pants with a tucked-in, sleeveless blouse, two-tone black and pink pumps, and a bright pink chain-strapped handbag that we think would perfectly suit the former Dawson's Creek star’s mini-me daughter. Her parted ‘do, gleaming smile, and bold red lip—Chanel contributed to the makeup, naturally—helped piece together her incredible glow. Model Dree Hemingway (great-granddaughter to that Hemingway) offered a lesson in comfortable dinner party dressing in the above Chanel ensemble that consisted of a loose-fitting grey sweatshirt with a frilly lace skirt, two-tone shoes, and a standout, pearl-covered clutch. For 19-year-old media wunderkind Tavi Gevinson (below), the night called for an opportunity to pay homage to the ‘70s in a pair of high-waisted, pastel blue tweed trousers with a matching multi-colored top and a pink bag, to boot. Jemal Countess/Getty Images Never one to blend in with the crowd, which included photographer Bruce Weber, Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor, and Gucci Westman, among other fashion insiders, actress Chloë Sevigny (below) took the dark route in a black leather dress with an oversize jacket and rock-n-roll sheer lace tights. Her sporty booties completed the look, not to mention her quilted black leather handbag and her bright red, coral-toned lip.
