Kate Middleton Stuns in a Gown by Indian Designer Saloni Ahead of Her Milestone Trip
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will head to India and Bhutan on April 10 for their first visit, and Kate Middleton is already readying her wardrobe. The Royals hosted a reception at Kensington Palace on Wednesday in preparation for the trip.
Middleton chose a stunning floor-length blue dot dress from Indian-born, London-based designer Saloni for the event, pairing it with coordinating pumps and her classic blowout. The Duke and Duchess invited young people from India and Bhutan who are living, studying, or working in the United Kingdom to the event, conversing with them ahead of the milestone visit.
Kensington Palace announced the trip in February, saying that their visit to India “will be an introduction to a country that they plan to build an enduring relationship with.” In Bhutan, they will “continue a relationship between two Royal Families by meeting The King and Queen,” who welcomed a new prince in February.
If this bold look is any indication of her wardrobe choices for the trip, we’ll be waiting with bated breath for more photos of the fashionable royal.
