Kate Middleton and Prince William Brave the Rain for a Traditional Welcome in Bella Bella
A little rain can’t get in the way of these royals! Kate Middleton and Prince William amended their itinerary on Monday when a storm put a stopper on their visit to the Great Bear Rainforest in Bella Bella, B.C., but that didn’t prevent them from making the most of the visit.
The duke and duchess took the activity indoors, where they received a traditional welcome from the Heiltsuk First Nation. Middleton braved the rain in a tan trench coat, jeans, and riding boots, later taking off the coat to reveal a blue sweater layered over a plaid shirt. Her handsome hubby matched in a dark sweater over a blue collared shirt and tan slacks.
The couple smiled and cheered as the children of Bella Bella welcomed them with a dance. Next up, the duke delivered a speech on the Great Bear Rainforest and the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy, a conservation effort close to his heart.
