Your Twitter feed is about to get the royal treatment—Buckingham Palace announced this morning that Kate Middleton has joined the social media platform. @KensingtonRoyal will be the official Twitter account of the Duchess of Cambridge as well as Prince William and Prince Harry. Buckingham Palace made the announcement via their own Twitter handle (how fitting!):

The Kensington Palace Twitter bio reads, "Updates, pictures and videos from Kensington Palace, about The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and their Royal Foundation" and has so far sent out 15 tweets (see the first one below), although none are from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge or Prince Harry directly.

Joining Twitter seems to be a trend amongst royals. Back in October, Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth sent out her first Tweet, which she signed as "Elizabeth R." Here's to hoping that there are some personal tweets from Duchess Kate on the horizon!
