Kate Middleton's surprising sartorial streak continues. After attending Monday night's James Bond Spectre premiere in a gorgeous silver Jenny Packham gown that featured long sleeves and a sheer back, the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out for another black tie event tonight. And, of course, she looked fabulous.
For the 100 Women in Hedge Funds black tie dinner at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, Middleton donned a head-turning Erdem gown with an eye-catching blue and red floral pattern. She teamed the dress with a black clutch, black shoes, and diamond-and-sapphire chandelier earrings.
This is just the latest in a seemingly non-stop parade of atypical ensembles for the Duchess, who surprised us last week when she attended her first state dinner in a fiery red Jenny Packham gown, which she followed the next day with a Dolce & Gabbana lace dress with a sheer neckline and sleeves. Since then, she's worn a celestial print Tabitha Webb dress and the aforementioned sheer Jenny Packham gown. Although these are not typical styles for Middleton, we are loving her new, slightly more risqué take on fashion—and hope to see more in the future.
