You've Never Seen Kate Middleton in a Look This Casual Before
When Kate Middleton steps out for public appearances, she generally makes a statement in ensembles that lean on the dressy side.
As the Duchess of Cambridge hung out with a group of Cub Scouts Wednesday in the English village of North Wootton, though, she proved that she can nail casual-chic just as well as she pulls off everyday glam by wearing one of her most casual winter looks yet.
Middleton was all smiles while attending a special Cub Scout Pack meeting with kids from the Kings Lynn District in an Iris and Ink gray cashmere turtleneck sweater, green skinny jeans, and chocolate Really Wild Clothing suede boots.
As Middleton hung out with a group of Cub Scouts in the English village of North Wootton, she proved that she can nail casual-chic just as well as she pulls off everyday glam by wearing an Iris and Ink gray cashmere turtleneck sweater and green skinny jeans.
The mum-of-two was on hand to celebrate 100 years of the organization, and put her experience playing with her children, Prince George, 3, and Princess Charlotte, 1, to work as she took part in games, a first aid drill, and blew out candles on a cake with the Scouts, according to People.
Middleton even let one of the Cubs put her arm in a sling when she participated in their first aid event. "It was fun putting her arm in a sling as I was one of the only ones" Dylan McKenna, 9, told reporters. "She said I did a good job."
"She said, 'Well done, I'm very impressed with this,'" he continued. "She kept the sling on for a wee bit then took it off. She asked me what badges I got and how much I enjoy Cubs."
The Cub Scout pack's activities centered around looking after oneself and others, both physically and emotionally. Kate participated in a parachute game that encouraged teamwork and cooperation, and she also frosted a birthday cake with pink icing as she tried to emblazon it with a "Cub 100" decoration.
Given that Middleton's visit fell during the holiday season, the Cubs made sure to give her gifts to take home to Charlotte and George. Little Dylan handed her a gift for George—a backpack with a Scout teddy bear inside, and Charlotte was given a teddy bear dressed as a Beaver Scout.
"I said, 'I hope George has a wonderful Christmas,' and she said, 'I will definitely put this under the tree,'" he told the mag.
'Tis the season indeed.
