Kate Middleton and Prince William are punishing the public (or at least, that's what it feels like) by choosing not to release photos of Prince George, 5, and Princess Charlotte, 3, as they head back to school this season. And, OK, we get it, they want to make school a normal experience for their kids — one free of the cameras they experience at other family functions — but c'mon, not even one pic for the 'gram

That said, as far as keeping things "normal" is concerned, looks like the royal fam has that down pat. Kate was reportedly seen out back-to-school shopping with her children a few weeks ago at Peter Jones in London, which stocks George's Thomas Battersea Uniform, when she faced a problem every commoner knows all too well.

Town & Country reports (via Hello!) that the Duchess of Cambridge was scooping up some new kicks (baby Yeezy's for George, perhaps?), when she realized — whoops! — she forgot to bring socks for her sandal-clad kids to wear while trying on shoes. Can you imagine!

Well yes, you probably can imagine, because her "dilemma" has probably been experienced by literally anyone who has ever shopped for shoes. But somehow, it's more special when someone royal is tried by such a dramatic circumstance. Proud of you for persevering, Kate.

Though there are no photos, we're sure that George and Charlotte — who started her second year at Willcocks Nursery School this week — will have the flyest kicks in the school yard.
