Kate Middleton Wore an Unexpected Rainy Day Shoe For an Outing with Prince William and Prince Charles

Prince William joined father Prince Charles on a decidedly rare outing on Tuesday morning (February 11), with the future queens of the royal family in tow.

That means both Kate Middleton and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were spending time with the future kings as well, as William headed to a new rehabilitation center for service workers to show off to his father.

Kate dressed to impress, as always, preparing to brave the cold by bundling up in a navy skirt suit by Alexander McQueen, the very same designer responsible for her wedding dress.

She was perfectly polished as she wore her hair back in a half-up, half-down style paired with silver earrings that complemented the suit's buttons nicely.

Kate previously headed out to South Wales earlier in February with a similar look, as she paired her usual red Zara dress ensemble with an update: a snuggly navy coat from Hobbs, complete with a red and white scarf perfect for Valentine's Day. She carried a matching red clutch that day, accessorizing with light makeup and jewels as she wore her hair half-up and half-down again with loose cascading waves.

The outing was far more than just a way for Kate to show off her latest fashion, however. It was significant in that it allowed both princes to bury the hatchet over previous rifts in the family, as they had previously not been on "good terms by any means," according to a family friend. It looks like, from this particular visit alone, real efforts are being made for the two to repair their relationship, little by little.

Following this morning's visit, the two royal couples didn't linger together at the rehabilitation center. Instead, Charles and Camilla explored a nearby market in Leicester and spent some time with a local women's charity, while Kate and Prince William departed elsewhere. Wherever Kate decided to spend the rest of her morning, you can be sure she did it in style.
