This Is the Go-To Workout That Gives Kate Hudson Her Killer Bod
With spring around the corner (i.e., more revealing fashions in the future), we've been on the hunt for the latest and greatest workouts. And when it comes to celeb physiques, few can top Kate Hudson’s sexy and athletic frame. Back in October, the Pretty Happy author and Fabletics founder told InStyle that her work ethic is what’s behind those rippled, super toned abs.
“I work my ass off,” she told us then. “I figured out how to sort of balance it all out so that I’m not killing myself over diets and things like that, because I don’t really believe in dieting. I believe in living a kind of lifestyle. So, I’m as healthy as I can be, and just mentally, I can’t go too long without being active.”
And while Hudson’s new book is replete with tips for living a cleaner life and incorporating exercise into your routine, there’s one workout she’s particularly fond of. “Pilates seems to be my go-to, for me personally. My book is also about, ‘You’ve got to kind of find out what that is for you.’ Every time I go back to Pilates, it’s like, there’s something about it that I feel like I can reconnect to—something that just motivates me,” she told InStyle last week in L.A., where the beauty celebrated her new book project with friends.
Pilates aside, Hudson also turns to star trainers like Tracy Anderson, the woman behind J.Lo’s killer curves, for an unmistakable sweat session. “I’d have to say Tracy Anderson Method is always good. It always kick-starts me and it’s a really great, intense workout, but it’s fun,” she added. “I never get bored doing the Tracy Anderson Method. Body by Simone is sort of an offshoot of that. I like it. I like the in-depthness of Tracy Anderson.”
So where does her love for all things fitness come from? “Mom [Goldie Hawn] loves to bike, too. Mom loves to hike. She loves to be in nature. Mom used to dance. We’re pretty similar,” she quipped with a smile.
