Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn Twinned in White For a Joint Magazine Cover

Golden hair and sunny smiles clearly run in the family for Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson. The mother-daughter duo, along with Hudson's 16-month-old daughter, Rani Rose Fujikawa, graced the cover of People's Most Beautiful issue for the magazine's first-ever cover to feature three generations of the same family.

Hudson and Hawn twinned in white dresses, while Hudson held her daughter (whom she shares with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa) on her lap. Hudson also made a remote appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to share the news about the cover, telling DeGeneres, "I was so happy they asked about it being a family picture because it’s now more than ever, family is everything, isn’t it?”

"At the end of the day when you boil it all down, we’re all doing what we can by staying in for the sake of not only everybody, but the health of our families and to protect our unit," she added. "I think that the message of a strong unit is really important and beautiful."

Hawn told People during their cover shoot, "When your daughter has a daughter, it’s a big deal."

In the issue, Hudson and her mother also got candid about their close relationship, telling the magazine, "We talk a lot about sex. Surprisingly." Hawn recalled telling her daughter at a young age, "I said, ‘I want you to understand something about Mommy. I’m not a prude. I love sex.'"

"Oh, that’s right," Hudson responded. "And then she said, ‘Sex is so much fun. But it’s better when it’s with one person.’ And that was a good lesson."

Earlier this week, Hawn shared a tribute on her daughter's 41st birthday, writing, "Happy birthday to my only daughter @katehudson 🎂🎁!!! I love you deeply and can’t imagine my life without you. You entered this world wide eyed and ready to roll. And look at you now! I’m so proud!"
