Kate Bosworth arrived at the annual Met Gala on May 8 (aka the first Monday in May), looking like a porcelain doll in a strapless tulle Oscar de la Renta dress with a train that required an extra set of hands.

Though Kate’s been married since 2013, she re-wore the title of bride at the event with a pearl-laden veil flowing past her shoulders.

The gown, covered in metallic embellishments, made a splash on the red carpet, to say the least. It followed with the evening’s theme of Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, as she looked every bit the traditional bride, conjuring images of a chaste church wedding.

Of course, another major wedding gown is on our radar: Meghan Markle’s. She and Prince Harry are marrying in less than two weeks and we’re dying to see her ceremony and reception gowns. Not that we think Kate will out-bride Meghan, but she is setting the wedding fashion bar high.
