What’s a girl to do when a gust of wind nearly rips off her pleated skirt? Channel Marilyn Monroe, of course!

On Thursday, 23-year-old model Karlie Kloss once more lent her A+ style to New York City's streets and paired a white, below-the-knee pleated skirt by Aritzia ($125; with a girly Vanessa Seward navy tee and embellished white flats. While you wouldn't expect a warm summer day to cause a single worry, Kloss almost fell victim to a wardrobe malfunction thanks to a strong gust of wind.

So how did she make sure to keep it together? The beauty did what Marilyn would have done and used her hardware-adorned black handbag to push down her skirt and prevent it from flying away. As expected, Kloss looked flawless doing so and even managed to make the silly event look like a campaign photo shoot.
