Karl Lagerfeld takes a more-is-more approach to, well, just about everything—and the tools he uses to put forward his over-the-top ideas are no exception. WWD reports that the Chanel and Fendi designer has officially teamed up with Faber-Castell, a luxury pen and pencil manufacturer, to create his own whimsical collection.

Appropriately dubbed Karlbox, the sketching kit comes in a box that takes inspiration from a Chinese wedding chest. So how much is the entire box worth? Available at both Faber-Castell stories and Karl Lagerfeld boutiques beginning September 1, a set can be yours for a whopping 2,500 euros, approximately $2,825.

After all, the household name has reportedly used the brand’s pieces for years, keeping them always at the ready near his desk in Paris.
