It's all over. Kaia Gerber and Pete Davidson have officially broken up after just three months of dating.

Following news of Davidson's decision to put the relationship on pause to "work on his mental health," according to E! News, it looks like the pair have made a joint decision to end things completely.

According to Page Six, a source indicated that their fling became "very overwhelming for Kaia."

"Pete has a certain M.O. and he’s very intense to his girlfriends," the source said. "Kaia is only 18 and it’s a lot to deal with."

The breakup occurred following reports surfaced about Gerber's parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, were seen outside of Kaia's apartment deep in conversation. Davidson was seen leaving the apartment building later that evening. According to E!, Cindy and Rande were "trying to guide [Kaia] and to help Pete through a difficult time."

According to an insider, Kaia wasn't originally sure if she wanted to continue her relationship as of the previous update we had on the couple. The source indicated that she "wasn't comfortable with what she saw" of Pete, and didn't know if she'd be able to "handle it." It looks like she's made her mind up for good now, as the two are parting ways.

Davidson previously sought mental health treatment back in 2016, but this time it seemed like a more immediate concern, according to E! News

"It became very clear that he had to go and do this and couldn't wait any longer."

Pete and Kaia made headlines in October 2019 after Pete was spotted leaving Gerber's apartment. The two then hung out at the SoHo restaurant Sadelles, where they snagged a late lunch. From there, E! News confirmed their relationship shortly afterward in November, and they've been dating ever since

It isn't clear if there's any way the pair will reunite in the future, but it looks like it may not be in the cards. It's possible they may simply need to take time out to address their own personal concerns with the relationship, but it does sound as though this is the end.
