A man of many hats, George Clooney is currently donning his director’s cap on the set of 1950s crime mystery, Suburbicon.

Set to premiere in 2017, the upcoming film stars Matt Damon, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, and America’s favorite redhead, Julianne Moore.

Though we’re certain Clooney and Moore are hard workers, it seems the director and actor’s on-set dynamic is not without its light-hearted moments.

On Monday, the Oscar-winning pair shared a laugh between shooting takes of Suburbicon.

A silly scene indeed, Moore and Clooney were photographed standing alongside the very mascot of suburban living, a picket fence. Moore, dressed in an old-fashioned button-front gown with a pale blue floral pattern, looked every bit the ‘50s housewife—well, save for the iPhone in her hand and the chestnut Uggs on her feet. Clooney, in a more blatantly modern ensemble, flaunted his behind-the-camera style in a black polo, white baseball cap, jeans, and black sneakers.

Despite the breaking of fictional time period boundaries, the actor pals seem to be on the same page. No divas here, Clooney and Moore appear to be getting along famously.
