Julianne Moore is the picture of elegance each time she steps onto a red carpet. Who could forget her breathtaking Chanel gown at the 2016 Oscars? It wasn’t a star-studded event, however, that she dressed up for on Wednesday.

The lauded actress zipped across Manhattan after appearing on The View in a black-and-white outfit that showcased her ability to stun for just about any occasion. Moore's minimal, dark palette worked nicely with her auburn locks and coral-toned lip. She styled a loose-fitting, comfortable-looking pair of bird-adorned pants with a scoop-neck shirt and a precisely tailored Alexander McQueen jacket featuring leaf crepe piping detail.

Up top, her blazer evoked a professional, business-ready mood, but don’t think Moore is purely focused on the work at hand. She threw a mini party down below and nailed her walk in all-black platforms that remind us of disco-going versions from the ‘70s.
