Julianne Hough Has Launched an Athleisure Line—and You’re Going to Want One of Everything
Flat tummy, slim hips, and killer arms: Julianne Hough knows how to serve some serious body! We’d take any of the Grease: Live star’s fitness advice, so, naturally, we’re happy to let her dress us for our workouts too. Hough has made her first official foray into the world of apparel with the Jules Julianne Hough collection, her newly minted collaboration with activewear brand MPG Sport, and it’s just as stylish as you’d expect.
Hough stopped by the Martone Cycling Co. pop-up shop at Concept 8366 1/2 in West Hollywood, Calif., on Monday to celebrate the West Coast launch, and we caught up with her to chat about everything from creating the collection to her diet leading up her to pending nuptials.
“It’s a huge undertaking,” the Dancing with the Stars alum told InStyle of her first experience collaborating on an activewear line. “You want it to be performance wear, so it’s sweat resistant and stuff like that, but you still want it to be super cute and fitting.”
And cute, it is! The line consists of brightly colored and playfully patterned tops, shorts, leggings, and sweaters (ranging from $40 to $60) and are all so cool that even Hough had a hard time picking a favorite. “There’s a really cute no-seam crop top and it’s got some mesh up top. It’s just really comfortable and it’s a cute crop top that you don’t feel too naked in.”
And even though Hough already has an enviable bod, you can bet this bride-to-be is taking extra care to keep it right and tight as she prepares to wed ice hockey player Brooks Laich, who popped the question last August. “I’m pretty consistent. I stick to protein and vegetables a lot and then I have my carbs when I’m craving them, but I don’t go over the top.” There you have it!
