Judy Greer is set to make the leap to the director’s chair: The prolific actress will make her directorial debut with A Happening of Monumental Proportions, EW has confirmed.

Common and Allison Janney will star in the dramedy, written by Gary Lundy. Lundy’s script was a semifinalist for the Nicholl Fellowship as well as a finalist for the Sundance Writer’s Lab. The plot—“a tale of sex, lies, and dead bodies”—takes place over the course of one day in a Los Angeles school.

Greer has directed a short film before, but A Happening of Monumental Proportions will mark her feature directorial debut. Chris Weitz, Paul Weitz, and Andrew Miano of Depth of Field (Grandma) are producing along with Principato-Young’s David Gardner. Shooting is set to begin in Los Angeles in January 2016.
