Congratulations are in order for Jordin Sparks and husband Dana Isaiah!

The married couple welcomed a baby boy named Dana Isaiah Thomas Jr. on May 2 at 9:04 p.m. at the Natural Birth Center & Women’s Wellness, Los Angeles—People confirms.

“It was miraculously beautiful,” Sparks told the publication about the birth of her and Isaiah's first child. “Dana caught him with my midwife, Simona, and when he handed him to me, I was absolutely overwhelmed with joy. He was and is everything we imagined.”

A few days after welcoming baby Dana, Sparks is already in love with her new role as a mom: "I’ve always loved kids and knew that if given the blessing, that I would love and embrace it more than I realized. It’s only been a few days and I love it so much already! The joy, laughter, scrapes and bruises…I can’t wait for it all!”

In November 2017, Sparks revealed not only that she and Isaiah were expecting a child, but also that the pair had secretly eloped and wed on July 16 while vacationing in Hawaii with friends.

“We’re both really excited,” Sparks told People in November. “He’s been like, ‘I want to shout it from the mountain tops!’ We’re really proud to be married to each other and to be celebrating this.”

“It just more solidifies the whole team sentiment of a relationship,” she said. “You know you’re still individuals, but at the same time everything is about ‘we’ and ‘us’ as opposed to ‘you’ and ‘I,’” she added.

She also revealed the sex of her child on Instagram over Thanksgiving later that month. “IT’S A BOY!!! We have so much to be thankful for and this is definitely at the top of the list,” she wrote. “@_danaisaiah’s gonna have a little mini me running around! We can’t wait to meet him. We love you lil man!”

Sparks learned she was pregnant in August 2017 and told Isaiah five days after he moved to L.A. “It’s been really crazy because everything changes. Everything has been so crazy and fast-forward,” she told People. “Once we got over the initial shock of it, now again just like it is with the marriage, to be able to share that this amazing thing is happening, it’s such a great thing. We did this together!”

The couple met in April 2017 after Sparks met his family during Super Bowl weekend in Houston several months prior for a visit with her charity campaign, I’m M.A.D., Are You?

Congratulations to the family!
