John Stamos's Full House PSA Is the Nostalgia We Need Right Now
The celebrities are losing it. There's no question about that. But leave it to the wholesome bunch at Full House to give us all some quality quarantine content that's both educational and bringing the LOLs. John Stamos, aka Uncle Jesse himself, posted a Full House parody clip that encouraged his followers to "Stayhome/Staysafe/Stamos." And with that, an iconic quarantine moment was put into the history books.
The video, which he shared on Instagram, took the all-too-familiar Full House theme song and replaced the vistas of San Francisco with a bevy of DIY clips from the cast — minus a few very notable exclusions. Fan favorites Bob Saget and Dave Coulier were present and accounted for as well as the Wolf Pack: Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber. They're all showing off what they're doing in quarantine, which includes cleaning, fishing, napping, and finding their refrigerators surprisingly understocked. In short: the cast is really just like us, waiting out the pandemic and encouraging everyone around us to stay home.
Notably absent? Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who didn't participate in Netfix's Full House reboot, Fuller House. While they weren't on-screen, they did manage to become the butt of a few jokes and were definitely mentioned in the series' run. Another missing face? That'd be Lori Loughlin, who may be dealing with a few bigger issues while we're all doing our best to flatten the curve.
Stamos's PSA isn't the only way he's keeping his beloved series in the headlines. Just last week, he let everyone know that he managed to snag a huge piece of Full House history when he posted a shot of the show's iconic plaid couch being used as a baby gate in his room. It was something even his co-stars didn't know, since it earned surprised comments from Cameron Bure and Sweetin, who both thought Saget would be the guy to end up with the sofa from the set.
