After six years together, pro wrestlers John Cena, 40, and Nikki Bella, 36, have called it quits.
The pair got engaged in April 2017 (in the ring, naturally) and were set to wed on May 5, 2018, mere weeks ahead of their split.
The Total Bellas star broke the news on Twitter Sunday evening, posting a note reading, “After much contemplation and 6 years of being together Nikki Bella and John Cena announced today their decision to separate as a couple. While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives.”
The news comes as a shock to fans, as John and Nikki were seen together less than two weeks ago at the premiere of the Cena's comedy Blockers.
Cena was previously married to his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth Huberdeau, whom he divorced in 2012. Bella, too, was married to her high school beau, but the marriage was annulled three years later.
