It seems like Joe Keery is taking Justin Timberlake's 2006 hit single "What Goes Around...Comes Around," very seriously these days. If you recall the lyrics go, "What goes around, goes around, goes around, comes all the way back around," and that's what happened with the actor's latest hair look.

How, you might ask? Well, Keery seems to be channeling Timberlake's signature hair during his *NSYNC days in the early 2000s, which was also popular among other top boy bands including Backstreet Boys and LFO.

The Stranger Things star, whose character Steve Harrington is known for his glorious head of wavy, gravity-defying hair, attended the Saint Laurent Fall 2020 fashion show with his girlfriend Maika Monroe on Feb. 25, and got a fresh set of frosted tips before hitting up the front row.

Keery's warm, golden highlights don't look like the Ramen noodle-blonde that launched a viral Timberlake meme. While his new color still channels the frosted tips of early '00 boy bands, it's more relatable to those of us who have used too much Sun-In while trying to DIY sun-kissed highlights at home.

This might be the first time Keery has changed his hair color since starring in the hit Netflix show, but he's no stranger (get it?) to controversial hairstyles. This past fall, the actor sent Steve Harrington stans spiraling when he cut his pompadour into a '90s bowl cut

Sarah Hindsgaul, Stranger Things lead hairstylist, previously told InStyle that she has strict rules on the cast cutting their hair. The show usually films during the summer, and she says she asks the male cast members not to cut their hair in the four months leading up to filming so that it's easier to style their hair in the show's '80s looks. It might seem like a year away, but summer is coming. Maybe Keery's new hair color is a sneak peek at Steve's season 4 hairstyle.

Whether Keery dyed his hair for Stranger Things or just felt switching up his hair with another polarizing look from a past decade, you can't help but respect him for being down to take hair risks
