Amy Schumer seems to have cast quite the spell on J.K. Rowling. The beloved author attended Schumer's stand-up comedy show at Edinburgh Playhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Tuesday night. Rowling was apparently so wowed by the funny girl's performance that she immediately took to Twitter to sing her praises, writing "Just seen the goddess that is @amyschumer live in Edinburgh. What a night." The Harry Potter writer also added two emojis to the tweet: a crying-with-laughter face and a big red heart.

Not too shabby coming from the best-selling author in history!

Schumer, 35, quickly responded (below), thanking the author and asking her what she thought about a Harry Potter reference from her show.

The banter continued when Rowling replied that she "loved" it.

It's probably a long shot, but we can't help but hope this amazing exchange will somehow lead to a collaboration in the future.
