Jesse Tyler Ferguson on His Tie The Knot Bow Tie Collection

After their impossibly adorable combination engagement-slash-charity bow tie line announcement in September, Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson and fiancée Justin Mikita have officially launched Tie The Knot! The couple celebrated the collection, which raises funds for marriage equality, in Los Angeles last night, and talked to InStyle.com about the inspiration behind the Ferguson-designed line. "This first collection has the aesthetic of throwing everything against the wall and seeing what sticks," Ferguson joked. "Honestly, I’m absolutely new to this, so it’s trial and error with this first one. When we do our next collection, I’ll try and do something a little more cohesive with more of a through line—'a story' as Tim Gunn would say." Mikita added: "The one common thread is that they’re all very loud and colorful with quirky patterns. We don’t have any solids."
