The star revealed on social media today that she is partnering with World of Dance on a new dance competition show for NBC. "Dance has always been my passion. It’s raw, it’s emotional, it’s healing. And one organization that has been pivotal to the dance community is World of Dance. They’ve created a place for artists to express themselves and leave it all out on the dance floor," she said in a video posted to Instagram. "Today I’m truly excited to announce that I will be partnering with World of Dance and NBC to bring broadcast television’s biggest, fiercest, most talent heavy dance competition ever seen, featuring the world’s elite performers competing for a grand prize of $1,000,000." The show will feature dancers of any age and specialty, "from ballet to modern to ballroom to hip-hop and everything in between"—and you don't have to be a professional dancer to audition. "If you're great, we want to see you and we want to see you soon," Lopez said. Dancers can submit a videotape audition on worldofdancecasting.com. Yesterday, the singer teased the big news on Instagram with a video. “Hi guys, stay tuned. Big announcement coming tomorrow … for the dance world,” she said with a wink. Lopez also extended her Las Vegas residency and announced that 21 new dates would be added due to "overwhelming demand." Tickets for the new dates go on sale on Friday at caesars.com.
