Jennifer Lopez Shows Us How to Style Her New Wardrobe Staple: The Circle Skirt

Jennifer Lopez has been on a fashion roll this week. For her recent string of TV and event appearances, the singer-actress traded her signature form-fitting cuts, sparkles, and plunging necklines in favor of some seriously ladylike pieces, including a string of dreamy, pouffy circle skirts.

Lopez turned heads on the Fox Winter TCA All-Star Party red carpet, oozing feminine glamour in a red satin Noir Sachin & Babi pleated skirt (above, right). Letting the statement piece take center stage, she styled it with a sleek high-neck crop top by SisSae, and a simple pair of Charlotte Olympia pumps. Picking up the gorgeous iridescent shade of her skirt, she framed her eyes with a burnt orange-hued shadow and had slicked her back into a high ponytail to complement the modern '50s feel of her outfit.

Fast forward to last night's AOL Build Speaker Series in New York City, and Lopez gave another statement midiskirt a whirl: a gorgeous jacquard number in sea-foam green (above, left). Following the same style rules, she paired it with a high-neck fitted top, pointed pumps—this time a chic striped pair—and completed the ensemble with a show-stopping beauty look of emerald-lined eyes and a sleek topknot.
