It seems like Jennifer Lopez likes to play the bad guy. The iconic singer, who portrays a dirty cop in NBC’s Shades of Blue, just landed a role as the infamous drug lord Griselda Blanco in a new HBO TV movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Lopez will also serve as executive producer for the unnamed project, which follows a notorious drug lord known as “The Cocaine Godmother,” who is considered the most powerful female cartel member in history. Blanco is said to have become a multimillionaire through the Miami drug trade, reportedly ordering dozens of murders to stay on top during the 1970s and 1980s. She was killed in Colombia in September 2012.

“I’ve been fascinated by the life of this corrupt and complicated woman for many years,” Lopez said in a statement. “The idea of teaming with HBO felt like the perfect fit for finally bringing Griselda’s story to life.”

This isn’t the former American Idol judge’s only venture into TV: She will also produce and star in Season 2 of Shades of Blue, and serve as executive producer for a new reality dance competition show on NBC. Between her TV work, Las Vegas residency, and new music, Lopez certainly has her hands full.
