The American Idol judge announced on Facebook Live that she would be debuting her new single, "Ain't Your Mama" during the finale of the show on Thursday, April 7. While backstage at rehearsal for the finale, J.Lo hinted that the live performance would be "very high energy" and even gave a sneak peek at the new track with an impromptu lip-sync performance (below). Wearing a high, half-up pony and a bright pink lip, the triple-threat mouthed the lyrics to the rhythmic dance beat while moving her head along with the music before stopping the music with a smile. "I can't, I'm not supposed to do that!" she said to the camera. In the candid interview, Lopez, 46, also discussed her NBC show Shades of Blue (which she confirmed will be returning for a second season!) and saying her goodbyes to her beloved Idol family. "My favorite part has to be just having a front seat to this amazing journey, watching people's dreams come true, watching the contestants grow over time," Lopez said. "That's always been my favorite part of this." Watch Jennifer Lopez Live-Text Leonardo DiCaprio (Who Responds!) During Carpool Karaoke As for what part of the long-running show's finale she's most looking forward to, Lopez admitted to being conflicted. "I don't know. I have mixed feelings about it. It's going to be an emotional night," she said. According to the star, "Ain't Your Mama" will be available for download on iTunes shortly after its debut on the Idol stage.
