Jennifer Lopez and Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda have teamed up to do something very special for the families of the victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando. The sexy triple threat and the Broadway star spent the holiday weekend in the studio recording an original track titled "Love Make the World Go Round." All proceeds from the sales of the single will be donated to Hispanic Federation's Proyecto Somos Orlando, a support organization founded in the aftermath of the tragedy.
Although the song's release date remains unknown, Lopez treated fans a free taste of the future hit on Monday, offering a behind-the-scenes video of the recording process that features Miranda rapping in the background. "Me and #Lin-Manuel Miranda working in studio on something very special," the "Aint Your Mama" singer captioned the Instagram video with the hashtags, "#LMTWGR #Loveisloveisloveislove #LoveMakeTheWorldGoRound #happy4thofJuly"
The quick look at the upbeat track features the following rhymes by Miranda: "What we got is love even when the sinners hate us / We cannot let them diminish or intimidate us / We sing out, we got the rhythm and the truth on our side / We cut through the divide and we do it with pride / A generation of innovators enabled to patiently wait for change 'cause change is what they've been afraid of / The malevolence can wait, raise a level of debate, celebrate, elevate."
We can't wait to hear the rest!
