Jennifer Lopez Fell Onstage and Her Recovery Deserves Its Own Grammy
J. Lo is real. What you get is what you see — and sometimes that includes a stumble.
The singer concludes her Las Vegas residency on Saturday, Sept. 29, and is ending her last week in the City of Sin on a high note, bringing out all the glitz and glam one has come to associate with Jenny from the Block.
Though a consummate professional on and off stage, Jennifer Lopez is in fact human (we think), and liable to make a pesky mistake or two — though we have very little proof. During last Saturday’s show, Lopez gave us a glimpse of imperfection when she, very briefly, fell onstage.
The 49-year-old icon was skirting the edge of the stage, brushing fans’ hands during her set, when she slipped onto her bottom for a hot sec. She was up on the floor moments later, rising to her feet with a little help from her fans.
How on God’s green earth has this woman yet to win a Grammy? Considering there are eight categories devoted to American roots music alone, we think “Best Fall” is deserving of its own award.
