Jennifer Lopez Cancels Her New Year's Concert: What Does It Mean?
Everyone needs some time off every now and then. Still, Jennifer Lopez caused quite the stir when she suddenly canceled her New Year's Eve performance at a Miami nightclub, sparking plenty of chatter about the reasons why she decided to lay low instead this year.
So, what's the deal?
In the midst of speculation, the "Ain't Your Mama" singer's rep said J.Lo canceled the show for "personal and family time," which she no doubt deserves. The triple threat star has worked nonstop this year, acting on her T.V. show Shades of Blue and performing on her "All I Have" tour, for starters.
Plus, it's the holidays.
Once the announcement was made though, fans went digging for more answers, and couldn't help but keep coming back to this:
A photo of J.Lo and Drake that she shared on Instagram that showed them hanging out after he came to one of her shows. It fueled rumors that perhaps spending time with him was included in her reason for the cancelation.
"Look who rolled up to my show tonight to say hi!! @champagnepapi #lovehim#jlovegas #ALLIHAVE," Lopez captioned the snap. Drake didn't help the situation when he shared the same photo on the 'gram with a heart eyes emoji caption, and another snap of himself holding her blinged-out baseball cap.
While they make for one lovely pair, it looks like these two are still just friends. In spite of the chatter, People reported that they are simply making music together.
No need to drum up those J.Lo-Drake monikers just yet.
