How Jennifer Lawrence Maintains a Svelte Figure While Eating Burgers and Fries, According to Her Trainer
“It’s all about balance,” the actress writes in the foreword for The Feelgood Plan: Happier, Healthier, and Slimmer in 15 Minutes a Day by Dalton Wong.
The London-based trainer started working with Lawrence in 2010 for the film X-Men: First Class and figured out how to get her in great shape while still letting her enjoy a vice or two. ”I could never live on a ‘diet,’” Lawrence says in the book, according to People. “Dalton taught me how to eat, move, and live a delicious but healthy life.”
The duo follow sweat sessions with “burgers and fries,” a workout regimen we can definitely get behind. “You have to exercise, you have to eat well, but you can go out on a Friday night, and yes, you can have a candy bar,” Wong tells People.
And though he permits indulgences, he has Lawrence working in tiny workouts whenever possible. “In between scenes we would squeeze in 15 minutes of exercise—things we could do on the fly like squats and lunges,” he says. “You don’t just get an instant lift, you build a lasting change.”
Lawrence’s enviable figure is the proof that you can have your cake and eat it too—just as long as you keep moving.
