It was an evening of girl power. Jennifer Lawrence stepped out to support iconic feminist and activist Gloria Steinem at a screening of her new weekly docu-series Woman in New York City last night, and the always-fashionable star hit the red carpet looking amazing as per usual.

For the occasion, Lawrence donned a black corseted Oscar de la Renta dress, which featured a full lace skirt. While the silhouette was somewhat demure, the actress was able to show off her toned legs thanks to the semi-sheer overlay. Besides an eye-catching ring, she kept the rest of her look simple, finishing off her look with a pair of embellished Jimmy Choo shoes. Lawrence's platinum blonde lob was styled in loose waves.

Lawrence has been flexing her feminist chops as of late. Last year, she penned an essay about equal pay for Lena Dunham's Lenny Letter, so it comes as no surprise she came out to support Steinem and her series, which investigates how violence against women drives global instability.
