This weekend, the Golden Globes will honor Hollywood's best and brightest, including Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. According to E! News, it would be the very first time since the couple's 2005 breakup that the two could cross paths at an awards ceremony. The network notes that there have been plenty of chances for the two to bump into each other while decked out in black tie, but this is the first time that the show could actually draw them both. Aniston and Pitt were both nominated for awards at 2009 Teen Choice Awards, but neither of them actually attended the show. Even more recently, at last year's E! People's Choice Awards, the two were also both nominated and Aniston took home the People's Icon Award. For his part, Pitt's never attended that particular show, even though he and Aniston were nominated in 2007, 2010 and 2014. The 2014 MTV Movie + TV Awards was another opportunity for the star-crossed lovers to meet up again, but though they both won that night, neither was there to take home their respective statuette. They two spent some time together at Aniston's annual Christmas party and Pitt was in attendance at her 50th birthday festivities. "They've been in touch over the last few years and talk occasionally," a source told E! News last month. "If they run into each other they will congratulate each other and exchange pleasantries. They want the best for each other. The past is a long time in the past. They don't talk often but when they do it's very warm and positive. It's not as big of a deal to them as it is to everyone around them. There are no issues with being in the same place at the same time." This year, Aniston is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama for The Morning Show.
