As a lifelong dancer and a Jennifer Lopez fan, it made total sense that Jenna Dewan Tatum would sign on to host J.Lo’s new dance competition show, World of Dance. But the Step Up star actually had an ulterior motive for taking the job—and it has to do with Lopez’s skin secrets.

“Huge fan of hers. I mean, as a dancer, she’s like an icon. You grow up, and you’re like, she’s a dancer. She turned into an actress. She created an empire for herself. And I am so in love with her. She’s the nicest, coolest, most beautiful person in the world. And I was like, I’m going to do this show,” she said on Late Night with Seth Meyers Thursday.

“You know, I love her, but I also want to find out her beauty secrets. I’m convinced. I was like, there’s some random herb in Botswana that she’s taking every day. She’s like Benjamin Button. I don’t understand it.” Same, girl. The woman does not age.

Dewan Tatum also talked about her daughter with husband Channing Tatum, Everly, and how the almost-4-year-old finally came around to liking dance class. “At first, she was like, I am not taking a dance class. I was like, OK, I’m not going to be a dance mom,” she joked. “I’ve seen these moms. I grew up with them. I know them. They’re crazy.”

But eventually, Everly came around on her own. “But then the first day she goes, ‘You know what? I’m going to go to dance class.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, let’s go!’ I organize the troops. I’m like, let’s get the tights, I need the shoes, let’s get the bag, let’s go.”

Watch the rest of the interview in which Dewan Tatum "fangirls" over Oprah Winfrey so hard, you’ll think you’re related.
