Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum's surprising breakup caught many of their fans off guard, but the former couple has publicly handled it with grace. They haven't bad-mouthed each other, they posted a joint message with the initial news, and now Jenna is speaking out to her Instagram followers once again, this time with a message of thanks.

"Thank you guys for all your love," she wrote in a caption alongside a photo of herself in white on a beach. "Love you right back." The message, while sweet, might catch people off guard since her original joint statement with Channing explicitly said that the former couple wouldn't "be commenting beyond this"—regardless, the thank you is still nice.

It's also the first thing we've heard from Jenna since her split became official a few weeks back.

After the cat was out of the bag, Jenna slipped off her wedding ring for a day of shopping in Los Angeles's Chinatown last weekend. Even though the changes might seem sudden to people who loved the former couple, there were hints that a breakup was imminent.

Channing has already moved out of the family home after "months" of being separated from Jenna, according to a People source, so whatever issues the couple had were not new.

“This has been a long time coming,” the source said. “Like any marriage, they’ve had their ups and downs over the years but they really started to grow apart within the last year.”
