Proud papa Jason Sudeikis recalled the events leading up to the birth of his adorable son Otis during his visit to The Late Show on Monday and the whole thing sounded like something out of a comedy. (Pretty fitting considering the source.)

The Horrible Bosses 2 star told host David Letterman that one fateful day back in April he and fiancé Olivia Wilde were planning on going to brunch when her water broke. While the couple thought it would be a routine series of tests at the hospital (Wilde still wasn't due for two weeks), she actually turned out to be in labor.

Sudeikis then talked about everything from Wilde's zombie-style moaning (his words, not ours!) while giving birth to his ill-timed trip to Taco Bell (and a bar!) right before the arrival of their son to the sweet moment when the classic Cat Stevens song "Father and Son" played on Pandora for the happy new family. "Like right out of a movie," Sudeikis beamed, "it was incredible."
